Other Past Experiences

Wesley was the sole grow-in manager at the Saginaw Golf Center.  Starting from scratch he worked with the architect Jerry Mathews and the owners to construct a master plan. This included equipment and accessory bidding and purchasing.  After the initial seeding he was also responsible for agronomic decisions pertaining to a grow in.  This included, but was not limited to, Turfgrass establishment, erosion control, and drainage troubleshooting.

Wesley worked two golf seasons and two winter seasons at Apple Mountain.  The first year he worked on the ski hill late nights and early mornings with snow makers and groomers during the winter season. He also has experience with the operation and safety regarding ski lifts. The Second winter was spent inside working with the banquet center.  He was involved with building maintenance, the set-up and turnover of events, and housekeeping.

Consulting with new owners at The Germania Club

When Germania foreclosed it was sold to the highest bidder. This happened to be a golf professional who got in over his head. After hours at the Midland Country Club Wesley would help with Chemical and Fertilizer applications and in any way that he could, offering advice and layout knowledge.  When you have a passion for what you do it is easy to get emotionally invested.  He genuinely wanted the new owners to succeed. Unfortunately it was less then a year before the property went back to the bank. It is now part of the Shiawassee Game Reserve.
